DFW Data-Center Projects: An Electrical Contractor’s Qualification Guide

Compare dated operator statements for Red Oak, Fort Worth, and Mansfield. Verify the project, buyer, scope, and procurement route before committing pursuit time.

Identify the exact project first

Aligned DFW-03 · Mansfield	The operator’s current listing identifies a 27-acre site at 3801 Britton Road. Its February 2025 announcement anticipated initial capacity as early as Q4 2025.	The review did not establish first-party commissioning confirmation or an open electrical bid. An expected date is not proof of opening.

DataBank DFW7 and CyrusOne DFW7 are different facilities

DataBank also uses the name DFW7 for its Dallas LBJ facility. Its current published specification lists 0.94 MW of critical IT load and a 2N power design. Those figures are not a statement of backup-generator capacity. Confirm the operator and address before comparing capacities or interpreting a search result.

If the question is backup power, record the actual generator specification and source. Do not substitute IT load, planned campus capacity, or a nearby battery’s rating.

A documented inquiry route is only a starting point

Rogers-O’Brien identifies DataBank DFW9 in Red Oak in its own project material. Its public Dallas-office contact page provides a route to ask about the correct project team and vendor process. This review did not verify an open bid invitation or that a general inquiry reaches electrical procurement.

Complete these checks before pursuing the work

Project identity: operator, site address, building/phase, and source date.
Buyer: owner, GC, electrical prime, or procurement contact verified from a first-party source or direct reply.
Scope: the actual electrical package, timing, contract structure, and way to bid.
Qualification: requested experience, safety record, insurance, bonding, license coverage, and supervision.
Capacity and economics: available qualified people, cash timing, estimating effort, and current commitments.
Decision: pursue directly, seek a qualified partner, or stop. Assign one next action and review date.

Stop the pursuit when the project identity, procurement route, or fit cannot be confirmed. A large MW headline is not enough reason to hire or buy equipment.
