The problem
Hiring a tech or office person means a job post that takes an evening to write and then a flood of emails with resumes in every format. The owner reads them between jobs and loses track of who was contacted.
What Cowork does
- The owner fills in a short brief: role, pay range, license level, schedule, must-haves.
- Cowork drafts the job post for review.
- A daily task reads application emails in a hiring label and records each applicant in a sheet: name, contact, license, years, location and how they match the must-haves, quoting the email.
- It drafts a short acknowledgment reply for each applicant.
Where the draft lands
A job post draft, an applicant sheet, and acknowledgment drafts.
What stays with you
Deciding who to interview and hire. Cowork organizes; it doesn't rank people for you.
Name: Jordan Lee · Email: (in sheet) · License: EPA 608 Universal (stated in email) · Experience: 3 yrs residential service · Location: 12 miles · Must-haves: driver's license yes, weekends yes · Quote from email: "I've mostly done service calls, some installs."
Acknowledgment draft saved.
Watch-outs
- The Gmail connector can't read attachment contents, so resume details must be in the email body or copied into Drive.
- Don't use AI scoring to reject candidates. Hiring law applies, and the owner should read every application that meets the basics.
Questions owners ask
Can it post the job to Indeed?
Not through an official connector. Paste the post yourself.
Can it schedule interviews?
With Calendly or Google Calendar connected, it can draft replies with booking links.
