Follow-up emails drafted from your meeting notes

After a client meeting, Cowork reads your notes or the meeting transcript and drafts the follow-up email with decisions, next steps and who owes what.

For: Insurance agencies, Small law firms, Real estate teamsBy John DietrichUpdated

The problem

The follow-up email after a meeting is where things get agreed in writing. It's also the email that gets sent two days late or not at all, because the next meeting starts right away.

What Cowork does

  1. Notes go into a Drive folder or Google Doc linked from the calendar event; transcripts work too.
  2. A task every two hours reads notes from meetings that ended since the last run.
  3. It drafts a follow-up email to the attendees: what was decided, next steps with owners and dates, and documents needed.
  4. It adds the next steps to a task sheet if the office uses one.

Where the draft lands

A Gmail draft per meeting and an optional task-sheet row.

What stays with you

Checking the draft says what was really agreed, then sending.

Hi Tom and Jen, thanks for meeting today. What we agreed: we'll quote adding your son as a driver in January. You'll send his license number and the new vehicle VIN. Rachel will send the quote by Friday, Oct 17. Rachel

Watch-outs

  • Law firms: follow-ups can contain privileged advice. Attorney review before sending, always.
  • Recording meetings needs consent. Check your state's rules.

Questions owners ask

Does it record meetings?

No. It works from notes or a transcript you already have.

Can it create tasks in our practice software?

If there's a connector (Clio through Composio, HubSpot officially), yes, if available.

Connector capabilities checked October 2026 against Anthropic and vendor documentation; they change, so confirm before you buy anything. Workahead is independent and not affiliated with Anthropic.
