The problem
In offices where several people share client contact, emails fall between people. Each person assumes someone else replied. Clients notice before the office does, and the first sign is often a second, sharper email or a phone call asking whether anyone got the first one. A simple daily list catches most of it while it's still easy to fix.
What Cowork does
- A daily task at 4 PM searches the shared inbox for client messages older than 24 hours with no reply in the thread.
- It skips newsletters, automated notices and threads marked done.
- It sends one list with sender, subject, age and a one-line summary.
- On Fridays it adds the week's median first-response time.
Where the draft lands
One email a day, plus a weekly response-time number.
What stays with you
Replying, and deciding who owns which client.
Client emails with no reply over 24 hours (3):
1. Grace Ellis, "Question about the hearing date," 2 days
2. Mark Daniels, "Signed forms attached," 30 hours
3. Priya Shah, "Can we move Thursday?", 26 hours
This week's median first response: 5.5 hours.
Watch-outs
- Replies sent from personal inboxes or by phone won't show. Expect a few false items.
- Response time is a team number. Don't use it to rank individuals without context.
Questions owners ask
Can it reply to them?
Pair it with inbox triage if you want drafts.
