The problem
Owners spend money on Google Ads, directories and yard signs with only a rough idea of which ones produce work. The answer is scattered across request notes, form emails and the office manager's memory. Nobody has time to tally it, so the marketing budget renews on habit.
What Cowork does
- A weekly task on Friday afternoon reads new Jobber requests and lead emails from the past seven days.
- It reads the 'how did you hear about us' field, the form source, and the request notes to tag each lead's source.
- Where the source is unclear it marks it 'unknown' instead of guessing.
- It emails the owner a table: leads by source, how many became quotes, how many quotes were approved, and a running four-week total kept in a Google Sheet.
Where the draft lands
A Friday email and a Google Sheet with history.
What stays with you
Deciding what to spend on. The tally is only as good as the source information the office records.
Leads this week: 19
Google search 7 (4 quoted, 2 won) · Referral 5 (3 quoted, 2 won) · Truck sign 2 · Repeat customer 3 · Unknown 2
Four-week trend: referrals up from 3 to 5 a week. Unknown is down from 6 to 2 since Mel started asking on calls.
Watch-outs
- 'Unknown' will be large at first. That is useful information about the intake process.
- Ad platforms have their own numbers. This counts leads that reached the shop, which is the number that pays.
Questions owners ask
Can it pull numbers from Google Ads?
Not through an official connector today. This idea uses only what reaches your inbox and Jobber.
We use ServiceTitan. Does it work?
ServiceTitan has no official connector. Composio covers it, so the same report is possible with more setup.
